Shadows & Light: An Introduction to Charcoal Drawing - Aug 6

$30.00

Thursday, August 6 | 1:00–3:00 PM
In Process Community Art Space | Beech Grove, Indiana
Ages 18+

Charcoal is one of the oldest and most expressive drawing materials in existence, and one of the most forgiving! In this single-session workshop, participants learn to use charcoal's natural qualities to create dramatic contrasts of light and shadow, working from a simple still life. We'll practice laying down tone, blending, and lifting light — discovering how much life can live in a smudge. No drawing experience needed; just a willingness to get your hands a little dirty.
