A beginner-friendly introduction to sewing
Have a sewing machine collecting dust? Or maybe you've always wanted to learn how to sew but weren't sure where to start?
In this hands-on beginner workshop, you'll get comfortable using a sewing machine while creating your very own zippered pencil pouch! We'll cover the fundamentals of machine sewing, including threading your machine, winding a bobbin, practicing basic stitches, sewing straight seams, and even installing a zipper.
You'll learn practical skills you can build on for future sewing projects, all while creating a functional little pouch perfect for pencils, art supplies, or everyday essentials.
No previous sewing experience is necessary. Come ready to learn, experiment, and gain confidence using your machine in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Important: Sewing Machine Required
Participants must bring their own working sewing machine. We have two sewing machines available to rent at the studio on a first-come, first-served basis. If you need to rent one, please select the sewing machine rental option at checkout to reserve it.
All other project materials are included. | Beginner-friendly
