What if the "mistakes" and playful experiments you create became the masterpiece?

Join local artist Jennifer Blue for Paper Scapes, a process-based art experience that transforms simple painted papers into vibrant, layered landscapes.

Rather than beginning with a finished picture in mind, you'll spend the first part of the evening experimenting with paint: exploring color, texture, mark-making, and creative techniques simply for the joy of creating. Once your painted papers have dried, you'll cut and arrange strips of your own artwork to build a unique landscape collage full of movement, texture, and surprise.

This workshop celebrates curiosity, play, and trusting the creative process. Every landscape will be completely different because it begins with your own expressive marks.

In this workshop, you'll:

  • Explore a variety of painting and texture techniques

  • Experiment freely with color and mark-making

  • Create beautiful hand-painted papers

  • Transform your painted papers into a layered landscape collage

In Process Community Art Space | Beech Grove, Indiana
Ages 14+(Participants under 18 must attend with a registered adult.)

Before digital photography, scientists used sunlight and chemistry to make images — and the results were breathtakingly beautiful. Cyanotype is a 19th-century photographic printing process that uses UV light to create striking, deep-blue prints. In this workshop, participants arrange natural objects, cut paper shapes, or simple drawings onto light-sensitive paper and expose them to sunlight, revealing luminous compositions in Prussian blue and white. The process is simple, the results are magical, and every print is one of a kind.
